39th ANNUAL NORTON CARP DERBY
JULY 20, 2019
$35 ENTRY FEE PER TWO-PERSON TEAM, $30 ADVANCED ENTRY. (Includes meal Saturday for team members), each additional meal; $5.00. Advanced entries must be received by no later than July 19st.
$10 entry for each youth 12 and under in separate competiton. They can fish/shoot with an adult team but keep fish separate. They will be eligible for large, small and tag pool. (includes meal)
Carp must be caught within the Sebelius wildlife area, by any legal means as described by the Kansas Dept. of Wildlife and Parks.
Fishing hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
FISH MUST BE CAUGHT DURING SPECIFIED HOURS!!
Shotgun start from Leoti Cove boat ramp at 9:00 A.M. Weigh-in at 5 to 6 P.M. (Leoti Cove boat ramp). Contestants arriving after 6:00 will be docked 1 fish per minute.
No weigh in after 6:30 p.m.
The team with the most fish will be the winner of the contest. Tiebreaker goes to team with largest fish.
80% payback after expenses will be divided into two classes:
Rod & Reel and Archery, and paid back to the top 3 teams in each class.
The winners of each class will receive a trophy donated by First State Bank & Russ' Jewelry.
A separate prize fund of $100 has been established through the courtesy of New Age Industrial Corporation for any tagged carp caught by the contestants. All tagged carp turned in will share in the $100 fund, example: 1 tagged carp $100…5 tagged carp $20 each carp…etc
United Northwest Federal Credit Union of Norton donated $50 for the largest fish. Your pick of big and small fish to weigh.
Stockton National Bank of Norton donated $50 for the smallest fish.
T&D Bait donated $50 for most drum $30 for 1st and $20 for 2nd.
Additionaleprizes donated by supporting area businesses.
