White Cat Figurines Blue Bows 2 Ornate Decorative Gilt Japan

This pair of ornate cats has an oriental feel with their eyes outlined in gilt gold, pink inside their ears, gilt gold details on their faces and paws, and blue bows residing under their chins. Perhaps they are Persians ... they look like they are fluffly cats, and they have a great deal of fur around their faces. They are sitting so straight and tall, although they are small in stature -- just 2-5/8" tall. The cats are identical, and each has a small pink floral bouquet decorating his/her forehead. 

Male or female, oriental or not -- these little figurines are so pretty and so unusual! As noted, each is 2-5/8" tall, 2" wide and 1-5/8" deep (from front to back). The pair is in pristine condition with no chips, cracks or flea bites. The bottom of each bears a black MADE IN JAPAN mark.

The kitten's paws are highlighted with some light brown painted trim, as are the insides of his ears. He has patches of spaghetti trim on his head, front leg, and front and back hip -- all of which are tinged with a rosy shade of pink. He has expressive eyes that are outlined in black with black vertical cat's-eyes slits and spiky eyelashes. He has a sweet little rosebud mouth in red, of course! And last, but certainly not least, he has that très charmant mustache, short little whiskers perched above his mouth and just below his little nose. Below his chin is a small applied white china flower which is tinged with pink.
