KBK Industries, a leading manufacturer of fiberglass tanks, located in Rush Center, KS is searching for a Yard Worker - Stage I to assist in the testing and loading of outbound tank shipments at the company’s yard. Applicant must possess a valid driver's license.
Primary duties/responsibilities include:
- Learning different tank sizes and the proper way to safely load each tank size without damaging the tank or transportation equipment
- Safely operate materials handling equipment such as telehandler, forklifts, and overhead cranes in order to move materials and load and unload trucks
- Insuring that all products stored in the yard are properly secured and stored to prevent damage during storage
- Insuring that all products are loaded safely and secured properly as to prevent damage during shipment
- Organizing yard inventory so that specific tanks can be quickly and easily located
- Perform other duties as required by company management
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Must be able to operate a forklift and a crane.
(Crane experience preferred, at a minimum telehandler experience). - Must have prior experience loading and securing large products on trucks.
- Must be able to work without direct supervision.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to endure extreme temperatures during the summer and winter months.
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
- Welding experience is preferred.
