St. John Lutheran Church--7 miles north of Ellis on the blacktop or 15 miles south of Palco
All are welcome to worship at St. John at 10:30

Beginning at 11:30, a free soup luncheon will be provided by St. John WELCA and the Prairie Faith Health Ministry...

Or just plan to attend the presentation by Becky Goddard Ellis beginning at 1:00 p.m.

The location is handicap accessible.

What is Goddard Place?  Bill and Janice Goddard have passed away, but their family has transformed their home place, located ten miles west and two miles north of Hill City, into an environment where children, youth and adults can grow and learn through varied experiences.

• Overnight youth camps in the summer
• Teen spiritual retreats
• Family retreats 
• Springs of Hope: a one-day grief retreat for children who have lost parents - and for those remaining parents who face each day with courage, hope, and love
• Christmas Blessings: each year local families are invited, some struggling to make ends meet, to be special guests at a Christmas event celebrating the joy of the season. The organization provides gifts, food, fun and fellowship to these families
• Challenge course--teaching team building for scout groups, sports teams, businesses, law enforcement, 4-H, local schools (youth or staff), religious organizations and other groups
• Mud and Morals--an overnight camping experience which focuses on ethics and morals relevant to today’s youth.
• Walking paths, picnic areas, an equine facility, a pond for fishing and skating, a fire pit….and more!
