This is a marvelous antique oil from the 1800s, I am not sure of the date. I got this when my aunt passed on and she got from my grandmother who was born in Ohio in 1866. Before she passed my aunt said my great grandparents bought this in 1902 and the artist was known. I can't read the first name, last name is Johnson. I decided to sell my collection as I am 77, no wife/kids. My brother is 74 and has no interest and his kids don't either.

The farmers are good but I think the artist did a very good job on the horses.
It is a fair size painting. The picture is 17 X 23.5. The gilt frame, which is well made and in good shape, will add another inch or 2 up and across. Good size to hang over a sofa.
