Serenity Psychological Services and Consulting LLC is a private multi-specialty group mental health practice in Hays, Kansas. As an expanding practice, we are looking for a mental health therapist/counselor to provide individual and family therapy services in Hays, Kansas to children and adults. Position days and hours: M-F, 9:00am to 5:00pm. This position offers an excellent growth opportunity and the ability to receive supervision and training towards advanced therapy skills. Candidates for the position must be licensed in the state of Kansas by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board with LCMFT, LCP, LSCSW, or LCPC. Requirements:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other field eligible for licensure.
  • Current Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board license at the clinical level of practice.
  • Will be required to complete background check.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience providing mental health treatment services.
  • 3 Reference letters showing dependability.
  • Resume with complete work history.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete intake/screening/assessment process within appropriate time frames.
  • Develop treatment plans for clients in accordance with regulatory guidelines that demonstrate individualization and evolution based on information gathered from assessment.
  • Complete all correspondence in a timely fashion.
  • Participate in clinical staffing/treatment meetings providing feedback on all pertinent cases.
  • Adhere to weekly direct service model.
  • Communicate with insurance department ensuring requested information is provided within specified time frames.
  • Document all services provided in accordance with state regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that service documentation is entered within appropriate time frame.
  • Correct any file/charting deficiencies within appropriate time frame.
  • Represent the agency within community in a professional manner.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to Code of Ethics and agency policies.
  • Handle crisis situations as they arise.
  • Facilitate family therapy and individual sessions.
  • Demonstrate interest in long term and short term goals and objectives of the company.
  • Other duties as assigned by CEO.
