Description

I've decided to sell my Prelude, this car is in very good condition other than cosmetic issues with the paint/body. I've had it for 4 1/2 years and it's always been a reliable car. It currently has about 254,000 miles but reliability wise it is in better shape than many cars that are half the age with less than half the miles. Suspension is solid (about 90% has been replaced) and car leaks absolutely no fluids. In the interior everything works as it should including the power windows and sunroof. Over the years I have done many things to make it such a reliable car, in total I've probably spent around $8,000 on it, 1 thing being aftermarket coil overs which were nearly $1,000 alone. I've done all the work myself, but it has been done to a shop technicians standards or higher, I'm extremely particular about doing things right. The car also has an LED underglow kit with interior lights also and aftermarket wheels with tires that have at least 90% tread. Car has aftermarket exhaust but has a decent deep tone. I will include a list of what I can recall that I've done, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Replacements/Repairs:

  • Suspension
  • All upper control arms with new bushings and ball joints (car was aligned after every suspension replacement)
  • New rack and pinion with replacement of outer tie rod ends
  • Aftermarket coil overs with option to lower the car
  • Replaced trailing arm bushings and installed new rear lower control arms
  • Both CV shafts have been replaced
  • Brakes and rotors have 80-90% life left

  • Interior:
  • Windows have been tinted, 35% front 20% rear
  • Aftermarket Sony head unit (wired the right way so you can easily replace if you want)
  • Wired for subs
  • All interior speakers have been replaced
  • Fluorescent dash lights have had the PC boards repaired so that they'll last another 20 years

Engine/Transmission:

  • Head gasket was replaced 2 years ago and in the process replaced every single gasket on the top end of the motor including all gaskets on the intake.
  • Has a remanufactured head from the head gasket with new valve stem seals and valve lash adjusted.
  • IAC and Fast Idle valves have been replaced including all small coolant hoses going to each
  • Timing belt was replaced a few years ago along with many new seals behind the timing cover
  • Brand new OEM radiator less than 2 years ago
  • New clutch slave and master cylinders
  • Replaced output shaft seals in transmission and added UV dye to detect any future leaks
  • Replaced oil pan gasket
  • New oil sender unit during head gasket replacement
  • New front and rear motor mounts (front replaced during radiator to allow more room and rear done during head gasket with intake out of the way)
  • Distributor is only a couple years old
  • Has had a tune up with new cap, rotor, plugs, and wires relatively recently
  • New radiator hoses along with all new coolant in engine
  • New vehicle speed sensor

And I'm sure there's many small things that I'm forgetting
