Colby Community College is seeking two energetic individuals to serve as a Recruitment Specialist.  The positions support prospective students in their transition to the college environment.  The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for recruiting and assisting students with admissions processes.  There is a substantial emphasis on external recruitment activities, including college fairs, high school visits, and on-campus recruitment events as needed.  This position requires a significant amount of travel with minimal time spent in the office setting. 

Qualifications:

• Associate degree required
• Schedule flexibility and overnight travel required
• Prior experience with recruitment in a higher education setting preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of college programs and college transition processes
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with students quickly and demonstrate enthusiasm in meeting new people
• Possess excellent time management skills
• Understanding of and sensitivity towards the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of students

Salary: $3,000 - $4,000 Stipend, non-benefits eligible

Employment Terms: This position functions on a 12-week flex schedule concentrated during peak recruiting periods.  Peak recruitment periods include September 1, 2018 through November 16, 2018.
