10 year old grade QH mare.
14.3 hh
Need to get her moved out to make room for the next project.
1500 OBO
The good:
well built - lots of muscle
good feet (barefoot)
she loads easy in a stock trailer (don't have a slant load to work on)
stands for the farrier
saddles and bridles
super soft mouth
Walk/trot/lope no problem
neck reins
picks up the correct lead
understands leg aids
coming along nicely on sidepassing.
no buck/bite/etc.
never been 'mare-ish'
The not as good:
she does not like to be tied solid. when she hits the end of the rope and it doesn't give, she panics. We're working on this.
She is not a kid horse. I would not expect bad things to happen from putting a novice rider on her, but I would recommend an intermediate or better rider, just because she is so soft and responsive.
The bad:
The only bad I have found in her is that she does not stand tied. -- Yet.
Any questions, just ask.
