Cost Share Applications are currently being accepted for the Waconda WRAPS Program (Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy) until July 31, 2018.
The practices eligible for cost share:
Cropland Map- red (high) & orange (medium high) priority areas
Cover Crops (must be a new practice for acres enrolled and planted on on-till acreage)
Terrace *
Terrace rebuilds* (must exceed 35 years of age & not meet conservation specifications)
Waterways
Riparian Buffers
* Continous no-till farming as defined by NRCS will be required for life of contract (10 years) for all terrace projects utilizing WRAPS/319 Funds.
Bacteria Map- any of the colored ares
Alternative Water supply (wells, solare systems, peipelines & tanks)
Critical Area Planting
Livestock exclusion fencing
Riparian Windbreaks
