McCarty Family Farms, LLC is currently seeking a team oriented and motivated Culture Lab Technician at their milk processing facility in Rexford, Kansas. This will be a great opportunity to join a forth generation family farm in their milk processing business.

The Culture Lab Technician will oversee the culture lab at the farm as well as duties in the plant. You would be responsible for receiving and plating culture samples and receiving and testing milk for pregnancy along with putting together raw, cream, and condensed data to be used in conference calls with Dannon and dashboards used for nonconformances.

Additional duties will include but are not limited to:

- Reviewing raw count data and notify farm managers of potential problems

- Receiving, sorting, and plating mastitis and fresh cow samples for culture

- Reading culture plates

- Entering cow IDs and culture results into excel sheet and send to farms

- Entering culture results into yearly sheet

- Receiving pregnancy check samples, conduct tests, send out results

- QRS sheets

- Lab upkeep

- Monthly sheets to Dannon

- Cleaning and upkeep of the plate washer

- Plating in the mircro lab every other weekend

This position will be full time at 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, and will require a half day every other weekend. No experience is required and all training will be provided. Salary starting at $13.50 per hour. Competitive benefit package, paid holidays, and vacation will be provided.
