Job Title: Billing Clerk
Department: Business Office
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Skills/Qualifications:
-High School diploma or GED required
-Microsoft Office skilled required
-Strong written and verbal communication skills required
-Strong aptitude for numbers and attention to detail
-Prior experience in a hospital office setting preferred (specifically billing and collections)
-General business accounting knowledge preferred
Summary:
This position is responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties in an office setting. Courteous interaction with patients/customers, employees and insurance payers among others is to be expected. This position is the primary contact for customer service ranging from discharge to collections.
