The City of Russell is seeking professional and community oriented individuals for a full-time Electric Technician position.

This position includes technical electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the City’s electric generators, engines, meters, and related equipment. This individual will also be responsible for the electrical wiring in all City Department buildings. Applicant must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D and have a valid Driver’s License. Applicant is expected to obtain a Journeyman Electrician Certification within 1 year of hire and have current extensive knowledge of electrical theory and practice. Applicant must establish residency in Russell County within 6 months of hire date. Pre-employment drug screening and job placement assessment are required.
