Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital - Business Office Department is looking for a part-time Clinic Clerk.

Essential Job Functions

• 1 part-time position available

• Monday through Friday

• 9:00am – 1:00pm

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent

• Maintains a professional, working relationship with the insurance companies, government agencies and third party payers.

• Adjusts patients’ bills to reflect credits, debits and balances.

• Documents all correspondence and conversations with insurance companies, governmental agencies, third party payers and patients on patients’ account.

• Consult with other hospital departments to obtain, verify billing information.

• Contacts patients/insurance companies to collect unpaid insurance claims.

• Stays informed about changes in Medicare and Medicaid and other insurances.

• Previous experience in all aspects of business office functions prefered.

• Must have excellent customer service & phone etiquette skills

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Detail oriented and self motivated with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively

• Dependability and confidentiality a must
