RANS Designs, Inc. is looking for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician and Janitor to assist with building maintenance and facility cleanliness. Considered a pioneer in the homebuilt aircraft industry, RANS has been manufacturing and selling kit and ready-to-fly planes for over 35 years!

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, punctual, have good communication skills, and some degree of mechanical/electrical aptitude. As the maintenance worker and grounds keeper, you must be able to perform general routine inspections and other related maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Building and grounds maintenance including lighting, heating/cooling, and keeping building integrity in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Maintain cleanliness by dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping  throughout building facilities and office spaces
• General landscaping duties, which may include mowing lawns, trimming shrubbery, and keeping grounds free of trash and other debris
• Ensuring stock of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance and grounds keeping duties
• Assist with set up and facility preparation for annual fly-in (one Saturday late in the year)
• Performing other unrelated duties as assigned, i.e. covering for other departments as needed

Qualifications

• Ability to work in warehouse conditions
• Capable of standing, or working on your feet, for long periods of time
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• General knowledge of required cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• High school diploma or experience working in a similar field are a plus

Compensation is commensurate with experience

Only Full-Time applicants will be considered, and training will be available for the right candidate.
