This is my old college car: 2000 Grand Am SE Coupe, 2.4L 4-Cyl.
I'm selling AS IS, it runs just fine but there are a few things to note:
The GOOD
-160,xxx miles on it. Original everything (engine, transmission, etc.). CLEAN title.
-Car seems to run fine, was planning on selling over the winter just didn't get to it. After driving it the last few weeks the car drove smoothly.
-Power seats/windows
-Sound/speakers work well
-Brand new battery. Oil change/air filter new as of a few days ago. One of the tires looks almost new.
The BAD
-Paint is peeling as seen in the pictures. This is most obvious on the hood and fenders.
-Dent on the hood from hitting a deer a few years back...this isn't overly noticeable. The radiator has a dent from the same deer, still functions normally.
-Brake pads MIGHT be needing changed soon, you can hear it when pressing the brakes hard.
-I believe oil used to leak/burn but I got all through winter and spring without any problems (it sat the majority of the winter as I had a new car).
-Coolant leaks at times as well...this is weird and fairly rare but every now and then I'll notice the coolant has partially depleted. I would say this happens once a month or so...it does this randomly, I never noticed a pattern to it. Oftentimes there's no leak and sometimes it'll randomly start to deplete. There have been a few times it's depleted all the way, which isn't good (*note: I never ran the car on an empty coolant tank). I never identified the problem and never put any time or energy into it. Although this is something that you'll definitely want to address.
-The A/C isn't working. Might try a recharge but I believe it's the compressor.
Shoot me an offer, I'd like to get rid of it! Cash only, title in hand. This car treated me well and might be a good fit for a college driver with a low budget and not needing anything fancy.
