We are looking for inventory specialists who bring unwavering professionalism and meticulous accuracy to the position, and who have exceptional math and observation skills. Inventory specialists can expect to work closely with management, develop and improve existing procedures and policies, prevent losses, and occasionally do some heavy lifting. Their other responsibilities include maintaining storage facilities, ensuring the accuracy of inventory and doing weekly counts of all products. Successful inventory specialists should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm grasp of basic computer programs, and an ability to work both independently and in a team. Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Obtaining levels of skill and output required by the Manager
  2. Proper safe use and care of all tools and equipment used on company property
  3. Accomplish tasks assigned by the Manager
  4. Work with all employees to complete work assignments
  5. Able to maintain safety and attendance responsibilities
  6. Demonstrate decision making and problem solving abilities
  7. Able to operate a computer
  8. Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, record shortages, and corresponds with purchasing to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
  9. Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
  10. Tracking inventory maintenance.
  11. Controlling flows of material and supplies.
  12. Compiling inventory reports
  13. Forecasting future inventory requirements.
  14. Reporting to management and advising on process improvements.
  15. Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
  16. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.
  17. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  18. Addressing any problems, obstacles or challenges.

Requirements:

  1. Able to stand and walk on concrete surfaces ten (10) hours per day
  2. Able to safely climb ladders, stoop, bend, kneel down, etc.
  3. Able to safely operate forklift(s) and man lift(s)
  4. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  5. Working knowledge of Microsoft office, database and spreadsheet software.
