Analyzes fleet maintenance specifications. Repairs needed to maintain equipment in operational condition; keeps accurate and current records of fleet maintenance activities; maintains manual and records of maintenance, service, and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, automobiles, and equipment. Coordinates routine maintenance and annual inspections with owner and drivers

Plans and schedules, repairs and preventive maintenance to be performed on vehicles and equipment. Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems associated with diesel and gasoline motors, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems; schedules and performs preventive and routine maintenance. Trouble shoots and diagnoses equipment problems; repairs and performs preventive maintenance on all systems of Nelson Poultry Farms, Inc. equipment; performs repairs in shop, at different farms or along road side. Responsible for the safe operation of equipment and proper work methods that are directly related to the safety of subordinates, peers, and the general public. This position will be required to provide stand-by and emergency maintenance on an as-needed basis.  This position is typically a 50 hour a week job, but may be asked to work on a project until completed.  Must be able to work some weekends and nights
