Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital - Maintenance Department is looking for full-time Maintenance Worker.

Position Overview

Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the facility in good repair.  Minor maintenance, repairs and other duties are the primary duties. Assists the Engineering Department with plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance.

Essential Job Functions

 

  • 1 full-time position available

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Rotating call week nights/weekends/holidays

  • Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of minor problems with the electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required. 

  • Performs maintenance duties to all physical structures of facility and complies with all building safety codes.  This is to include facility equipment and associated controls.

  • Assists in replacing, repairing and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems as required.

  • Maintains routine records of all inspections, maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.

  • Performs manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material).

  • Ability to do work on his/her own with limited supervision.

  • A working knowledge of fire alarm and signal systems.

  • A thorough knowledge of how to use and maintain plant tools and equipment.

  • Maintains outdoor grounds including mowing, trimming shrubbery and snow removal.  

  • Knowledge and observance of safety precautions.
