North Central Kansas Technical College has an opening for an Admissions Counselor on the Hays Campus. This is a 12-month position, responsible for facilitating all aspects of the recruitment of students.

Qualifications include:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to lift, set-up and transport recruiting displays, promotional items and College simulators
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the school year
• Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Coordination of admissions effort with multi-member Admissions team;
• Extensive travel in primary and secondary recruiting areas during peak times with some overnight travel required;
• Attend career planning conferences, trade shows and fairs;
• Actively develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors and technical education instructors;
• Coordinate High School visits;
• Maintain accurate and timely information in computer database system;
• Coordinate all follow-up efforts in conjunction with the admissions effort;
• Host campus visits;
• Actively participate in College-wide recruitment and orientation events;
• Develop and maintain travel calendar of admissions activities;
• Maintain regular communication with supervisor regarding admissions efforts;
• Perform other duties as required by the Dean of Enrollment Management.
