The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is currently hiring an Equipment Operator Specialist position in Norton, KS. Pay begins at $16.54/hour. This position serves as the full-time assistant to the bridge crew supervisor and provides onsite field supervision of the maintenance crew. Duties include monitoring crew performance, operating specialized equipment, overseeing and performing maintenance and repairs on equipment, and snow and ice operations. On-the-job training provided to obtain commercial driver’s license within 60 days of hire.
