Thank you for your time and consideration! If you would like to jump straight to my page at amazon.com, click here http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008GGFIGQ                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           What does a $300,000 poker debt, a desperate man, a rape victim and five deaths all have in common? One man - Alex Braeden. After a seemingly happy marriage was pushed to the brink of disaster by the birth of a son, Alex didn’t spend much time at home. At Lucky’s, his favorite bar, he found pleasure and company with high stakes poker, booze and women. After being tricked into a poker game with the best player around, Raymond Solis, his life would never be the same. When the game ended he owed Solis more money than he could ever hope to repay. This one game is the turning point for Alex, forcing him to do things he never knew he was capable of doing. Solis’ henchman pounding his face sent him a very clear message, either pay off the debt or die. Scared of what would happen if he didn’t come up with the money and fast, Alex came up with a plan to buy life insurance for his wife and son then cash them in ASAP. The plan was working wonderfully and Alex was feeling good about killing his family and paying off Solis until he saw he was being watched. Skye Wilson, how much did she see? Did she see the arm fall out of the bag? She will have to be dealt with. When two detectives came knocking at his door, Alex knew he was getting busted for murder and tried to play it cool. Sweating bullets all the way to the police station, Alex was enraged even more when they questioned him about the rape of Connie Anderson. He claimed to know nothing about that. As the days go by Alex strays more and more from his original plan and with a nosey neighbor, a suspicious insurance agent and two detectives snooping around, he is in dire straits. The fear of getting caught turns into desperation and acts like a tightening noose around his neck.                                                                                                                                                                                                           Skye Wilson witnessed Alex Braeden struggling to get a large, heavy bag into the trunk of his car when something falls out - an arm. Terrified it was the arm of her best friend, she tried desperately to get her husband David to believe her. Getting nowhere with him she calls the authorities only to get mocked and threatened with jail for making a prank call. When David leaves unexpectedly to go out of town on business, Skye sees it as her chance to get to the bottom of what’s going on and recruits an old friend, Donavan Murphy to help. Donavan goes along with her, not because he believes her but he’s hoping it’s his chance to get back his long lost love. With Donavan at her side Skye fights off rekindled passion between them and pushes fear aside anxiously waiting for the time to confront Alex. Crossing paths one to many times with him proves to be too much for Skye, and after Alex attacks her outside of Lucky’s it causes a long-overdue confrontation between Donavan and David. There has always been something weird between them, Donavan loving Skye from afar while David was the man that won her hand. So when Skye finds herself in the awkward position to either stay with Donavan or leave with her husband, she is torn by what is and what could be. Skye’s choosing to leave with her husband almost destroys Donavan but David sees it as a clear victory. Not wanting to lose an ounce of respect from his wife, David sets out to find Alex and confront him about why he put his hands on his wife. Fearing for his life, Skye calls on Donavan once again for help, only this time it’s to find David. Together they desperately search for her husband before it’s too late - and Alex kills again…
